Factory Notes are lessons from inside real development and production rooms.

They draw on my own experience as former Head of Format Entertainment at the BBC, creator of the BBC Format Factory, and producer/director of entertainment and unscripted formats across the UK and international markets.

These notes are not memoir for its own sake. They are practical reflections on how ideas survive, why some fail, what changes between paper and production, and what developers can learn from the formats that actually made it to screen.
